Alona Beach, Pangalao Island, Bohol

Our dive safari came to an end at the SeaQuest Dive Centre situated on Alona Beach on Pangalao Island which is just separated by a narrow stretch of water from the larger island of Bohol. We had booked 5 nights accommodation at the Oasis hotel which has been built on a small hill at the back of the dive centre. Alona Beach is a place for the backpacking brigade and as such was extremely busy with trinket sellers, bars and cafes - it was also very noisy! Fortunately, our hotel was a haven of peace and tranquility! We were to dive for just one more day whilst at Alona Beach - that was to Balicasag Island which is rated as one of the better dive sites in the area.
