Anda Amed - The Resort

A few scene-setting photos of the Anda Amed resort at Amed. Owned and managed by an ex-Brit come Aussie, Kim, the resort is peaceful and the friendly and attentive staff add to the quiet ambience. Watch out for the ducks though!

Diving with Eco-Divers at Jemeluk Bay, Amed (Part 1)

The start of our diving adventures was to be with Eco-Divers. We had used this outfit a couple of years previously and had been impressed by their organisation and staff. These dives were without Peter - still laid up with his broken foot.

A Mountain Retreat

The interior of Bali is a land of mist and cloud covered dormant volcanoes, heavily forested hillsides, and terraces of lush green paddy fields. It is quite a contrast to the coastline scenery and it’s well worth spending a few days in the hills to savour their delights.

Pemuteran lies in the North West of Bali, close to the straits separating Bali from Java. The main diving attraction is to dive Menjangan Island which is also a national park. Our hosts were Sea Rivers owned and run by Paul Turley a Geordie ex-pat!

The final few days of our trip were taken up with diving with Sea Rovers. The highlight of these final few days was a trip to Secret Bay for the ‘Muck’ diving. A brilliant end to a superb trip - even though Peter never did stop complaining about his foot!
