A Bohol Sightseeing trip

Following 9 days of diving we decided that we should take a day out and see some sights! This full day started out with a visit to a Tarsier sanctuary. The Tarsier is one of the oldest species in existence in the Philippines and they can be traced back 45 million years. Tarsiers are now only found in the Philippines, Borneo & Sulawesi. Next were the Chocolate Hills, a geological phenomena of 1260 limestone conical hills created when coral reef rose out of the sea and then eroded by wind and rain. The hills turn chocolate brown in the dry season. A quick visit to a bamboo and cable suspension bridge over the Loboc river followed before lunching on a river boat!
