Red Sea 2010 - Day 2 - St. John’s Reef (1st Day)

Following our overnight sail, we had arrived at the St. John’s Reef system - the highlight of our holiday! St. John’s is one of the southernmost reef systems of the Egyptian Red Sea. Rarely dived until a few years ago, it is now a very popular diving area even though it can only be dived by Liveaboard. We were to do 4 dives this day - Habili St. John’s was our early morning dive - fantastic walls and large sea fans at 30m ; Gota Big was our late morning dive - another wall dive ;  Umm Arouk (also known as St. John’s Forest) was our mid-afternoon dive ; and finally Abu Basala as a night dive
