Diving at MoalBoal, Cebu Island

So, after a few days recovering from the flight at a hotel near to the airport in Cebu City, we were taken by taxi to the small resort town of MoalBoal which lies on the western coast of Cebu Island. We were guests of SeaQuest diving who have a small resort - Sumisid Lodge - adjacent to the dive centre. We were to stay here for 5 nights, diving for three days, before starting on a five day dive ‘safari’. The diving at MoalBoal is primarily on the sloping shore which has sporadic coral reef outcrops. The best diving in the area is off Pescador Island, a 20 minute boat ride away.
