Red Sea 2010 - Day 1 - Departure & Shaab Marsa Alam

We left Port Ghalib at around 11am, following completion of the paperwork required by the various authorities. We were to do a check-out dive at Umm Rus just outside the port (no photos!) and then sail southwards to dive Shaab Marsa Alam at dusk. This was a pleasant enough dive with a small cave and swim-through, and the wreck of a liveaboard - the Legend. Following this dive , we sailed thorough the night to arrive at St. John’s Reef the following morning
